Francisco J. Samaniego

Francisco J. Samaniego received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA in 1971. He joined the UC Davis faculty in 1972, following an NSF-sponsored postdoctoral year in the Department of Statistics at the Florida State University.

 

Research interests:

  • Mathematical Statistics,

  • Decision Theory and the foundations of Statistics;

  • Bayesian methods;

  • Reliability Theory;

  • Survival Analysis and Sampling Theory
