Francisco J. Samaniego  Professor   Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles    Francisco J. Samaniego received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA in 1971. He joined the UC Davis faculty in 1972, following an NSF-sponsored postdoctoral year in the Department of Statistics at the Florida State University.   Research interests: Mathematical Statistics, Decision Theory and the foundations of Statistics; Bayesian methods; Reliability Theory; Survival Analysis and Sampling Theory e-mail: fjsamaniego@ucdavis.edu
