Sergey Grodzensky 

Born on August 1, 1944 in the city of Vorkuta, where his father was in the Soviet GULAG as a political prisoner.

Professor of Moscow Institute of Radiotechnics and Electronics. Doctor of  Sciences. Member of the Academy of Quality Control. The author of several textbooks and more than 100 scientific papers. The author of the first scientific biography of the famous Russian probabilist Andrei Markov. (The book, edited by B.V. Gnedenko, was published  in 1987.)

Areas of Interest:
  • Reliability Theory,
  • Applied  Statistics,
  • The history of science.

Main hobby: chess (master of sports, chess grandmaster on correspondence chess, chess journalist).
